New Website Look & Inside Info!

In anticipation of the November release of Love Served Hot, the first book in the Love on the Menu series, I've completely overhauled my website. What do you think of the new look???

Yes, you heard it here first! Book 1 of my foodie series will be out in November!!!

After much thought and number-crunching, I've decided to delve into the self-publishing world. My Sextet sister Bethany Michaels, the brains behind Dragonfly Press Designs, is designing the covers--she does great cover art!--and I'm learning how to format books. Cheryl Brooks, one of my other Sextet sisters, has been answering lots of my newbie questions. I'd be lost without my writer friends!

Website updated!

My website's home page was looking a little cluttered, which is good on one hand since that means lots of books out there for readers :) But it needed a change, so I taught my non-techie self to use Powerpoint to make banners! The Sextet Anthologies, The Sextet Presents, and Bewitching Desires now each have their own neat groupings. I'm hoping these make the page more visitor-friendly. Here's a sneak peek at the new visuals:

Conference and Website and Meetings, Oh My!

It's that time again! I've registered for the 2011 RWA National Conference, have my flight to NYC and hotel booked, and, best of all, the whole Sextet will be in attendance! A few days ago I also contacted RWA to request my First Sale ribbon :)

Yesterday I figured out how to add pages and content to my under-construction website. Yes, this computer illiterate is building her own website. The best part? I know how to put titles and release dates to my books page! Covers shouldn't be too far behind. We should be getting the first three soon. Tomorrow is the monthly meeting for IRWA and I have lots of updates to pass on as PRO Liaison of the chapter. I'm looking forward to getting together with The Sextet afterward for a late lunch/early dinner. Lots of our ideas for stories arise from these post meeting meetings. I can't wait to see where the brainstorming leads.
